Painting Classes with Tom Shropshire

Thursday Sessions; For New, Intermediate and Advanced Artists

In this Adult Painting class you will get a thorough education on working with acrylic paint. This class is for those who are new to acrylics but have experience in other mediums and basic drawing ability, to those that are more advanced and need a minimum of guidance. All Student Artists will appreciate the supportive group atmosphere, the relaxing creative environment and the easy-going approach to mastering this exciting medium. Tips, basic techniques, and useful hints are shared freely with all and the results are truly amazing!

This creative group is made up of a wonderful mix of people. Some students have been attending for many years and some come and go, but all learn a variety of approaches and skills that will take their work to the next level. The main criteria is a love of art and a strong desire to learn and improve. Our wine breaks have become a tradition, with participating artists taking turns bringing a bottle to share with the group. We call ourselves The Fine Art and Cheap Wine Group! Each Session consists of 3 classes usually on the first three Wednesdays or Thursdays of each  month. Each session has a different theme or focus such as, portraits, seascape, or landscape. Currently classes are held afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Classes are small (10 artists or less) and every student artist will be helped individually at their own pace. In a short time you will be creating finished paintings that you will be proud to display, sell, and share with family and friends. 

From time to time (about 4x per yr) I also schedule 3 hour afternoon Mini Watercolor workshops.
